★ the organisation for economic cooperation and development (oecd)

The OECD is a prestigious intergovernmental organization founded to stimulate economic progress and world trade.

When I arrived there in 2020, they had a serious YouTube problem. Videos were unclearly labeled, some had no descriptions, no thumbnails, no tags.

So, I headed the audit of their YouTube channel, proposing and implementing a new style guide, transforming hundreds of videos to achieve their full SEO potential. These are some of my favorite thumbnails from that project.

This was one of my first prototypes. The large OECD branding, prominent title, and person-centric still were stylistic choices that informed our final style guide.

I made many thumbnails like this one, adhering to our new design. My original design choices generally remained in tact.

Another early design of mine, this was highly favored by the team and influential on our final style guide.

This was for fun. I broke from our style guide for this special video the OECD had made some years prior with their Secretary General. Their reference to the Matrix inspired me to write the title vertically and in green, like the binary code seen in the film.
